Well as for me and my familly(daughter13 and son3) we do things like, movies, pizza places w/playland and games inside, library, walks, visit family and friends, movie time at home, a rated G movie(, then a pg13 movie (13 yr old) and then my action movie(rated R) usually, but by then my son is asleep or in his room playing or totally into his own lil world(he has Autism)....
So does sleeping count as a family activity? LOL During the week, we just try to survive, but during the weekend, we spend as much time together as we can. Big home-cooked breakfast in the morning, a movie, a walk, outside playing catch, hitting the road for a relaxing ride in the country, or hanging out at Nanny's house.
Let's see, Since i started this, I might as well make my response. I have a 6 yr old Special Needs daughter. she loves Chucky cheese. so i take her there alot. i have one brother, he is younger and also in the Army. He is Deployed right now, and i am soon to be along with him in about a month or two. my parents are divorced and my stepdad is the coolest guy ever. He is Cajun, so you know what that means. LOL. thats about it i guess.
Hey, Nate!
What special needs does your daughter have?
I have an 11 year old son with Autism.
I was just wondering.
You can also e-mail me on myspace if you want...
Take care and may God bless you and your family!!!

P.S. Our activities actually have included going to 2 of the zoos here, going to the museum in Denver, going to drag races, going to the circus, going to the park, and even going out to eat... Yes, this is actually with my son and he is severely affected by his Autism... He is breaking some stereotypes here because he is affectionate, outgoing, he engages with other people, has good eye contact, and he does try to communicate even though he is non-verbal... My daughter also knows that she needs to listen well so that her brother doesn't get set off... We just keep working on it so that he can be a part of the community... We go to the store and to church... Getting together with family and spending time with family and friends is important to us...
My family lives in Mtn. Home so there are several bodies of water around us. We usually go hiking and canoeing when I go home if the water isn't too high. Also, we love to play with Ashlynn, my 7 month old niece.
My family and I are originally from LINY. Most of us moved down to Florida. We are a very close knit family. I have a wayward sister in California... LOL!!! Nah, she's not wayward. She is actually married to a retired USAF. My nephew out there is now in the Air Force and is curretly stationed in Qatar until the end of May. His wife is currently with child.
Together, we like enjoying the holidays and going to the theme parks and going on cruises.
Anything that requires physical activity outdoors. Spending a majoirty of our time in the woods, camping, backpacking, hiking, climbing, rappelling, caving, horseback, jeep 4-wheeling. Then there's the water aspect of it all boating, whitewater, scuba, skiiing, tubing please if its active we do it. Course helps mom has an Outdoors business LOL. No couch potatoes here no sir! Up and at em before the sun rises no falling out till long after the sun goes down, plenty of time to rest and be still when we take our last breath. Gotta love it, I have all boys 18, 17 and 15 just as active as I am! Push em and push em hard! That's our family motto! ROFL
I can understand that "up and at em" mentality. I'm not one who sits aroud either. I get online, check my e-mail... check the messageborad and any other work stuff, and then I'm out the door. Of course, I keep my laptop with me about 75% of the time in case something shoul come up... like a potential client or someone looking into getting into the travel business.
T.v. - I'll watch the news in the morning and at night. I'll watch some show at night when I'm ready to go to sleep... falling asleep with the tv on. If there's a good movie on, I may sit and watch it. Otherwise, I'm far from being a couch potato.
